Assessment
Personalized testing for your journey
At Seven Sisters Mental Health we know that accessing timely psychological testing and evaluation can be difficult. In an effort to make assessment more accessible, Seven Sisters Mental Health offers psychological assessments at convenient weekend and evening times in three different levels of assessment. However, not all questions and concerns can be met with all levels of assessment.
Continue below to learn more about different assessment levels.
"Just Enough" Assessment
The “Just Enough" Assessment is best for when you have one question or a simple concern. An example concern for this assessment level is testing for ADHD without any other complications. If you have more than one question or concern or your concern is complex, you would be best served by another assessment type to allow for enough time and testing to provide you the best service possible.
At this level you get:
- A brief clinical interview focused on your concern
- Testing specific to your concern
- A brief feedback session about the findings
- A written assessment report
"Meet You in the Middle" Assessment
The "Meet You in the Middle" Assessment is designed for when you are needing clarity that cannot be accomplished in an assessment with a narrow focus but you also do not need a long, comprehensive assessment. Example concerns for this level include: When you need clarification between two potential diagnoses such as ADHD and trauma, evaluations to determine if any potential mental health concerns are present, and simple evaluations for learning disorders such as dyslexia. This type of assessment does not include multiple (more than two) concerns. If you have complex concerns, you would be best served by a comprehensive assessment.
At this level you get:
- A clinical interview focused on your concerns
- Testing around these concerns
- A separate feedback session about the findings
- A written assessment report
"Everything and the Kitchen Sink" Assessment
The “Everything and the Kitchen Sink” (comprehensive) Assessment is best for when you have several concerns, want a deep dive into your concern(s), or have a complex concern. This type of assessment is best for Autism Spectrum Disorder, diagnostic clarity and direction after becoming stuck in therapy or other treatments, and other concerns that require significant and dedicated time to exploration and testing.
At this level you get:
- A lengthy clinical interview
- Testing around multiple areas of concern
- A separate feedback session with ample time to discuss findings and recommendations
- A written assessment report
